The Bread Cottage
A cultural, educational, and informative attraction for all age groups.
A unique attraction in Górki Wielkie—during hands-on activities, participants learn about the daily chores and realities of life in the recent past. Here, you will not only be able to watch but, above all, bake bread or flatbread yourself, separate cream from milk, churn butter, or make cottage cheese—the highlight of these activities is tasting the prepared goods with homemade accompaniments: butter, lard, and honey from our own apiary.
The duration and itinerary of the tour depend on the option you choose and may include the following attractions:
Module A
(duration: approximately 1 hour)
- an introduction to basic grains and their uses
- viewing machinery formerly used in the cultivation and processing of grain (from grain to loaf)
- discussing the process of making butter and cottage cheese, as well as the equipment used for this purpose
- a discussion on honey production, a demonstration of beekeeping equipment, and interesting facts about the lives of bees
Module B (A+B)
(duration: approximately 2 hours)
- attempts at threshing with flails, grinding grain with millstones
- sifting flour
- shaping and baking flatbreads
- Tasting of flatbreads served with: butter, honey, or lard
- grain coffee with milk
Moduł C (A+B+C)

- separating cream from milk
- churning butter
- cottage cheese production
- tasting of the products
The “Chlebowa Chata” tour program includes:
- Round-trip transfer by comfortable coach or minibus directly from your destination’s doorstep, including a scenic route through Ustroń and Zawodzie
- the implementation of the “Chlebowa Chata” tour program in accordance with the selected option
Available optional extras:
- Trip to Równica – panoramic view from Równica, Czarcie Kopyto, Zbójnicka Chata, Extreme Park – amusement park
- Czantoria Cable Car (the newest chairlift in the Beskids), summer toboggan run
